WCFB Carter ID
Is there a way to identify a Carter WCFB that is missing its metal ID tag? .. One online Carter website mentioned a stamped number on the mounting flange base. This number appears to be a '46'. .. Is this enough to ID this carb? . . I couldn't find any other info, otherwise.

The tags are about the worst way to identify a WCFB; they get swapped, counterfeited, and, can be bought online with anything on them you want. The numbers you want are on the air horn and body. Follow this link to find the locations:

You can certainly post those numbers here and I, or somebody else, will sort them out for you!

Frank ..
air horn # 6-1672
carb body # 0-1451
#'s not visible; the throttle base plate measures 1 1/32 inch
Searching around I found an older thread that listed your WCFB carb number's paper. .. The paper shows the WCFB I have to be from the 1963 model year.
Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
