Welcome Class of 2014! (New C1/C2 owners)
Hey guys!
Welcome to the brotherhood! As Secretary for the Class of 2013, I want to officially congratulate you guys! Seems your WTB theads some of us worked so tirelessly in got closed before we all could congratulate you!
Some sweet cars! Don't be strangers now that you have your car! Nothing worse (to me) than a hit and run member who leaves the scene after they get their car!
Post em if you got em!!!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome - looking forward to taking advantage of all the knowledge & experience over here. Not new to Corvettes by any means, but finally decided on a retirement gift for myself and acquired this 62,000-original-mile, numbers-matching 1962 back in June. She's a 300hp/4-speed, fairly rare non-posi car.
Route 66 is calling . . . Anyone have a period-correct luggage rack they don't need?

That, myfriend, is AWESOME!
I had thought about doing the same thing (mostly, in my dreams) Luggage rack + Period style luggage and sleeping bags! Show winner right there!
Very, Very, Very cool.
Looks like I'll have to do it with the Horizon Blue 60!

Hey, Revfan, I just joined that class! My car ships tomorrow and is due to arrive curbside on Monday. Of course, I won't be home - I have a business trip that week (got to pay for it somehow) - so the wife gets the first ride. Here's another pic I took the other day. I'll post more when it arrives and I get home.

Finally! After drooling over a neighbor's Corvette over 50 years ago I managed to add this to the garage last month. Absolutely no regrets. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

Sweeeeet ride! Welcome to the party. What size tire and rims are on your vette? I have a set of 1967 15x6 steel rims and I am trying to decide which tire I like best on them that will fit. Your tires have that look that I like. Thanks.

It will take a little time and money to correct a few things but I bought it to drive and that's what I've been doing. What is the first part I bought you might ask? Thanks to the info on this forum I bought a spare fuel pump drive cable!

Tires are BFG T/A's in 235/60R15 on Crager rims. I'm not positive on the rim size as they were on it when my Dad got the car but I can try to get a measurement for you if you need. I don't love the wheels but the tire size does look good and handles well but doesn't rub anywhere when driving. It's close though - rear wheels rub on the leaf spring when car is off the ground.

My car showed up on Sunday, a day earlier than expected. That was nice because I was there to take delivery. So, the full report: 1966 Trophy Blue convertible with both tops. White soft top, dark blue interior (originally vinyl but a now leather). Original body panels with no repairs and a rust- free frame and birdcage. Original L79 engine with TI, the original 4-sp tranny and 3:36 posi. Options include factory a/c, power steering, power brakes, and AM-FM radio with power antenna. It also has added knock-off KH wheels. It has been sitting awhile and needs some attention to the suspension and a bit of cosmetic work which I will tackle over time. An additional photo with the proud new owner below:

Trophy blue is a gorgeous color... I don't think pics do it justice.

Tires were Cooper Cobra Radial GT’s
Fronts: P215/65R15
Rears: P235/60R15
They all fit fine with no problems.
