Default Hi Temp cast paint

For exhaust manifolds is the VHT ceramic 1200-2000 cast blast better that the Seymour 1200 cast blast, just wondering what guys are using and how they hold up.

POR 15 here to. Lasts a LONG time. For best results sandblast the manifolds and apply two coats with a sponge brush.

Another vote for POR 15. Over 2 years and they still look like the day I painted them! Only thing I'd add to SS409's suggestions is to be sure to thoroughly wipe them down with alcohol or lacquer thinner prior to paint and DO NOT touch them with bare hands/fingers after wipe down.

I have been pretty impressed how it has done so far... only 6 months later, but it looks like i just did it an hour ago.

Thanks JR. Yes that's currently in my Impala now. It's an original QB block with an Edelbrock top end. It's to bad the 409 never showed up in an early C2. That would have been quite the conversation piece......
