I am finally "Back" home. I got a emergency letter from Red Cross back in May/June stating that my mom was terminal and she was released from the hospital and sent home for Hospice Care. I was able to get back in early June.... and have spent the last 62 days being her primary care provider.
She has outlived all predictions, and while bed ridden, still has mental clarity and a great attitude. Despite all that, I had to leave her and get back to Germany where my family is stationed... I have 2 kids and a wife that need me as well, and while it broke my heart to leave, I had to get back and turn the care over to my two brothers that live much closer to mom than I do.
I had sold my car last winter, and was in the hunt to buy another one before I left... but that 62 days in the states, flights (and 3 extended stay change$) have taken a toll on my Vette fund, so until I can build it back up... I am sitting on the sidelines.
Anyway, a big "THANK YOU" to the guys that have been keeping this thread alive. The Corvette Brotherhood... even in its "Virtual" manifestation, is an awesome thing!

Corvettes come and go. The time you spent with your mom will stay with you - and her - for the rest of your lives. You did the right thing.
Too bad you are not stateside. Instead of sitting on the sidelines while the Corvette piggybank fills back up, you could pick up a project car and tinker little by little. But when you add in extra shipping costs on everything I guess that would not work for your situation.

The only additions that the car has is new speakers, a sony amp, and rear 6x9 speakers added. Everything was done to simply be removed for the factory feeling.

This is a very nice all #s matching 327-300 HP -4 speed runs and drives great, the paint is 4 years old and looks new, original interior, nice soft top, newer brakes exhaust ect...
