A note of feedback for fans of this thread. The silver / silver two top 65 L79 convertible out of Gulf Shores AL shown below now resides in So CAL, proudly owned by a new mid-year enthusiast. We found the car via this thread, and pursued it, got all the necessary photos, found a local inspector who gave a good report. Bought it without in person inspection by the buyer. Had it hauled out, and found it to be a solid honest car, accurately described, and very fairly priced by a motivated seller. Bottom line, there are good cars out there to be bought, and this thread works. Happy hunting people!
Anyone know if this is an automatic transmission car? It sure looks like the car I owned back in the mid to late 80's. After selling it to a guy that lived on Long Island (I was living on the south shore of Boston area) I lost track of it. I would love to chat with the current owner to determine if it is the same car. I can shed some light on the history and prior owner. Any help out there? Thanks.
