Default Guns & Hoses Car Show

Took our red 65 FI coupe to the Guns & Hoses Car Show in McKinney, TX yesterday. This show benefits families of fallen police and firefighters. Great show hosted by Eldorado Chevrolet at their dealership, and they also hosted a regional BBQ / Chili cook off event AND they provided all show participants with FREE all you could eat BBQ!! For a smaller local show lots of very nice high end cars, including quite a few Corvettes, with C1 to C7 on display.

Very cool! Love the pictures of the early cars.

I've been playing in Guns and Hoses ice hockey games for 5 years now. This looks much safer.

It was probably one of the better shows we have been to, especially when you consider the cause and the free BBQ. You don't get free food that good very often. Lots of great folks, saw some people I've met before and made some new friends, which we do at each show. Hopefully the officers I met will remember me when I get pulled over for some minor infraction one day, at least they should remember the car!

There were some very nice cars at this show, quite a few brought in enclosed trailers. Other than the early C1 I think all the Corvettes drove to the show. Ice hockey eh, still have all your teeth? Rough sport. Jeff

Most of the brothers I know will pull you over just to look at the car more closely.

Broke my jaw and lost a tooth most recently a year and a half ago at age 56. Never too late to be stupid, I guess.

Yes, that was one very nice car. If I was shopping for another Z06 (sold my 2003 Z and 74 vert to get and do the FI car project) it would be very close to that one. I'm sure it's a real blast to drive and it was spotless inside and out.
