Default Inner Fender Protection - spray on bedliner???

So I just had a spider crack fixed on my '61. It was the driver's side front. This is my 2nd fiberglass car and both had spider cracks. What products are you guys using to protect your paint form rocks banging the underside of the fenders?

Actually I create my own 'splash shields" that will stop anything thrown at it.

Do you have a brand name you prefer for the rubberized coating? Roll on?

Any name spray on kind will do. You just need enough to do the top above the wheel

I just threw a sheet over the wheels then sprayed about an 8" wide area with a rubberized coating that they sell at any hardware store.

Having sold many brands of rubberized undercoat I now only sell SolderSeal/Gunk Tite Seal T16-17R in my store.
It is black in color and my customers like it.
I retail it for under $7.00.

You could always glue foam in place, but that might be a bit overkill. I have an aluminum Kirkham www.kirkhammotorsports.com and it came with foam for the wheel wells that i cut and glued in place with weldwood contact cement.

Kirkhams are made about 30 minutes from my house. Beautiful cars. I had a Superformance Cobra I sold for the '61 Vette. Fun cars.

Back on topic...the rubberized spray on coating seams to be popular. That's what I'll do. Thanks for the help!
