Nah, it was Anti-establishment green
That 1970 Maverick was called Anti-establishment green. I, too, had a 1970 Maverick; my first brand new car.

2021 C1 of the Year Finalist - Modified
The seats are roll and pleat, the door panels are button tuck. You guys are too uptight ! I like it !
It's a 70's custom like my 60. I've got white button tuck door panels and seats along with black **** rug. Plum Crazy paint. You either like it or hate it. I personally don't care. There are very few example of the 70's customs left, they most all been restored. I was in my early 20's goin to the custom car shows back then.
It was GROOVY MAN !!!!! Pops

but as stated by others, have seen far far worse....how about a 4 wheel drive mudbogger jacked up about 5 feet and to add insult to injury it was a 63 coupe, saw this about 5-6 years ago.

that turd is covered with flies and corn niblets. OMG. Someone save it, PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE IT. At least rattle-can it blue for God's sake until you get the time for fix the other 113,435 things that are heinous about it......ARA. That car is a testament to why you don't mix heroin, crack, whiskey and weed at one time....that's what you end up doing to your car....

I don't have any biases against modified cars - have built plenty of them myself over the years, from a blown nailhead Buick-powered '53 Corvette that ran in A/MSp to a AA/FD to a '32 highboy to Cobras to a tube-frame Grand Sport and beyond, but the interior of that car just goes beyond my limits!

I like the dash and seats, the door panels not so much, but they're easy to change. As are wheels and tires.
The only thing that bothered me is the flip front has its cut line a couple of inches ABOVE the belt line. Looks stupid closed in the pic, maybe it's just ajar after engine photos were taken?
Falfa's '55 wasn't crashed. The victim was a stock '55 AIR, a lighter color and it had stock painted steel wheels and skinny tires. The actual car, which lived on to star in "Two Lane Blacktop", was totally bitchin'. Look closely, Falfa seems to have a new "10" female passenger every 15 minutes!
Best lane in 2LBT: "We mailed in a phony pink."
2nd best: "396?" "454." "No sh*t ?!?"
