Default Another Lars Distributor Rebuild (Pictures Included)

Hello

I received my distributor from Lars on Wednesday. He sent the distributor to me before he got the check from me!!! I sent the check priority mail of course it didn't make it on Wednesday but it did come today (Sorry Lars).

This distributor looks better than new. I am impressed with the overall quality of work. I just wish more were professional like Lars. Here are some pictures. I cant wait to put it back in my car.

Thanks Lars..

Lars certainly fixed up my original '63 distributor...more wrong with it than I would have guessed. He straightened all that out.

I was so excited to get it back and installed that I didn't take any pics but it looks just as nice as the OP's...

Lars Grimsrud: his e-mail is v8fastcars@msn.com

He is an aerospace engineer and is extremely proficient at both carb and distributor rebuilds. He did a carb on a 69 for me. He does great work and is honest and reliable.

He is very popular over in the C3 section as well. Just do a search on his name over in C3 and there should be plenty to read.

I've had Lars rebuild 4 distributors and he always does an amazing job! I just include the cam specs with the distributor when I mail it to him and he always manages to set the distributor up with the right vacuum canister for my engine!
Great guy and as others already mentioned, his prices are very, very reasonable! It's nice to see someone that still cares about and takes pride in their work!
Not to mention, his well written articles are the only reason i know how to tune a carburetor correctly and walk a distributor!

Lars did the Carburetor on my Chevelle. A number of years back someone brought him out and hosted him at his house. I think the cost was plane fare, food, and beer.

Is Lars still doing that?

Default Lars is one of the best indeed!

Lars has done two dizzy's and one carb for me. Like the Bozo I am, I tightened the accel pump screws and stripped one out. Called Lars with my hat in my hand and he said send it back and he would fix it for free. I did send a check to cover a couple bottles of Scotch and he thanked me and said he and his buds appreciated my gesture very much. He certainly knows as much or more as anyone does about Chevrolet V8 Engines. If he tells you a chicken can pull a plow, then brother, hook him up!

Lars did the "Tuning For Beer" tour around the country several times back about 5-6 years ago; very popular, but he probably doesn't have the time to do that kind of thing any more.

2:39 AM ???? What's up with that????

When I took it off your engine I looked it over and it's extremely nice!

Here's a pic for your records.

Big mistake - if I have caffeinated coffee after 8:00pm my eyes pop open in the wee hours and I may as well get up and get moving...

Yeah you emailed me that picture Rich - its hard for me to look at though.

Sorta like peering at a good friend's autopsy photos

I did the late coffee a while ago and pulled a all-nighter. Not fun the next day.

Autopsy?
