Default new guy 1st vette

I just got my 67 roadster,numbers matching.Without tank sticker how can I tell if the car came from factory with the side exhaust?

I am pretty sure this question has been asked and answered a number of times, but its kind of tricky searching as so many threads contain the words original/side pipe etc, that the results are muddy.

The long and the short of it is that Pipes were only on St Louis Cars because they had the machinery to cut the notches in the birdcage.
