Nope. All 427's used the same power steering pump pulley - cast iron, 3 spokes, 2 grooves, P/N 3878245. See your Assembly Manual, section N40, sheet A7, item #9.

Oops! Must have been thinking small-block; the big-blocks used a cast iron 2-groove 3-spoke pulley. I edited my original post above.

Most of the suppliers have the description of the pulley wrong. The typical (and incorrect) description is "Power steering pump pulley, cast iron. All B.B., 2 groove, 6 1/8" O.D. Use on pumps with tapered pulley shaft and lock nut." When I needed one of these pulleys, I called several of the suppliers and they ALL said the pump shaft was tapered. Not so! I called Ernie at Wilcox and he was POSITIVE it was a tapered shaft since he had done several installs himself. I ordered the pulley from him figuring I'd have to change the shaft in the pump. Well, it came and was a for a STRAIGHT (NOT tapered) shaft... thus the need for the key that most of the suppliers show as needed with the pulley. After that, Ernie agreed it was a straight shaft and now HIS description is the only one that I know of that is correct.... "Power steering pump pulley, cast iron. All B.B., 2 groove, 6 1/8" O.D. Use on pumps w/straight pulley shaft and lock nut. OEM part number 3878245"
