Default Transmission Rebuild By A Guy Named . . . . .

I took the afternoon off to drive to Cleona, PA (20 miles east of Hershey) to G-Force Transmissions to drop off my GM T5 for their Street 5 Speed rebuild and upgrade (will handle 600 HP when done). Met a few of the guys upon arrival, and was then introduced to their T5 "Specialist". . . . a guy named . . . wait for it . . . yep, . . . Bubba!!! I'm told he's a master at his trade - should expect it to be ready to go in 2-3 weeks! Can't wait!

Your transmission is in good hands. I don't praise many aftermarket companies but they are one of them. Great company and a great end product with excellent service!

Dennis,

YES! It's the same one I've been messing around with for the past 2 years. I've always been suspicious that the guy that originally rebuilt my T5 didn't do a very good job. And, It's always been in the back of my mind that once I got everything to fit and work, I'd eventually take it to G Force for their upgrade (that doubles the HP capabilities of the T5). My biggest regret is that I didn't take it to them in the 1st place!

My '61 270hp 283ci was rebuilt in 2004 for the previous owner by a North Carolina mechanic named "Bo" Montgomery -- almost as bad as Bubba. Turn out he was the chief rebuilder for a Southern racing team. I talked to "Bo" (now retired) on the phone for 20 minutes in 2009....he remembered the car, remembered the build and turned out to be an awesome guy.

Ya just never know...
