Default Side pipe headers for ls swap?s

I have a 64 with a ls2 swap and not sure what exhaust to do. I want side pipes so i either have to use ls shorties or i am considering buying the Hedman side pipe headers for a bbc. I could change the flange and mod a couple of primaries. I am not sure if its worth the trouble. The hedmans do have 1.75" primaries and 3" collectors and appear to be be close to long tube headers versus the shorties. Ls motors can make a lot hp with long tube headers vs shorties so I want long tubes but are the hedmans worth all work or should I go with simple shorties with less hp gain. Thanks

Keen Parts has LS headers and factory style sidepipes for midyears. Billy Boat makes them for Tom.
