Default Why isn't anyone bidding on this car?

Just curious why this car hasn't received any bids yet. Has anyone gone to see it? Appears to be a great deal and a nice car.

Rear flares would be my guess.

It's had a one piece front end installed also.

The body is sticking way out in front of the rocker moulding. Very common with a one piece not fitting properly. The rocker panel should be flush or 1/4 inch of body showing. This one has more than I've seen before. He didn't even have to cut the from body tab to clear the sidepipes.

Flares and NOM motor. Fan has a long spacer on it. Not sure what that means but it looks odd.

Very observant. I never would have picked that up about the one piece front end and the rockers. It scares me how much I don't know. I'm looking for a c1 and a c2 and now I'm getting nervous that I'll buy a piece of crap. I am, however, a fan of tastefully done flares.

NOM with numerous changes, horrible flares/cutouts in the rear, no idea what color/interior the car really had (need to always see VIN and TRIM tag photos in these auctions), repro KOs, broken/wrong antenna and radio, wipers installed wrong (disaster waiting to happen there - pass side blade sh/be on top), funky riveted dust shields, question if real side exhaust car, check out the ground wire bolted to the intake manifold and the list goes on and on. Basically with major body work, add-ons and NOM and no way to see what it was originally or if it even has a soft top or frame, unknown birdcage and frame rust, not worth even considering the starting bid IMHO

1961-up Corvettes didn't use fixed fans, but some passenger car applications did.

And being back in NY, rust is very likely possibility. I looked a car from back east once, and the frame was nothing but big, thick flakes of rust, it looked like it sat in a tide pool for several years.

Maybe as simple as what Velox said. The staring bid is way too high for what the car is.

I feel it's a scam. Anytime a seller insists on calling a different number or not messaging the person hosting the auction throws a red flag. Especially if you see errors in the listing . Beware IMO

"Listing for a friend" is a real flag.

This car has so many issues it's scary. Run Forest run.
