Safety Car
Well I have been to NCRS meetings and I took a friend to a Corvair meeting the other night. The one common theme is it's all old people. That does not mean these cars are not desired by younger people, but their method of networking is done mainly online. I mean why do I want to wait until Carlisle to go buy what I need when I can get it right now on Ebay and pay less for it? I'm in all of my cars for the long haul so if the prices tank I will just buy more of them.

This is why I haven't been to Carlisle in years...Big companies like Corvette Central no longer bring product with them to sell thus avoiding PA state business sales tax regulations. And I've looked at enough overpriced rusty junk parts from "Bubba".

I hate to say it but the new iron coming from Detroit is tomorrows classics. Drive a new Boss 302 , RS Camaro, Dodge Challenger or the new Zo6 . The amount of power and engineering is incredible. I listened to the sounds of the new GT350 Shelby flat bottomed crank car and was already thinking of what classic is going up for sale to buy one.
The car market is strong or the manufactures would not be producing the high horsepower cars that you are seeing in the dealer's showroom. Heck by all the Viagra commercials with classic cars you would think everyone on this forum would have saw the writing on the wall. Didn't you notice the guy is not driving off with a twenty year old hottie ! The classic car market will always be around just the models will change.
