Default engine builder in Miami

Who in the Miami area would be the best engine builder/re-builder for a stock '66 L36 (with an intent to keep things stock and no harm to stamp pad) ?

thanks!

Send me a PM and I'll give you the email addr of my friend's son who lives there and is a Corvette guy too. I'm sure he has some contacts for good machine work.

Sorry, but just got a reply from my contact in Miami and he doesn't have a referral.

He did however say it's hard to do a deck cut without touching the pad. I don't know what the process is to do that but I've heard it can be done.

Are you certain your block needs decking? It's rare for a block to need that unless it's been rusted.

Vette Smith Inc Craig 305 252 1256
and/or
Walter's Engineering Dave Walters 305 254 6798

If they can't do the work they can direct you to someone in Miami who can do your rebuild. Both shops deal mainly in older Corvettes. I have used both with great results.

Call Zenon with Gold Coast Corvette in Fort Lauderdale. His phone number is 954-564-VETT (8388). He only knows Corvettes. If you have him do the work, make sure you get an idea of how long it will take because they are always busy and he works at a "slow & steady" pace. His pricing is fair and the work is very good.

Good luck, Roger
