Default 67 Big block rear value or keep

I have a 64 Coupe that has a 67 BB 4:11 rear installed.
I was thinking of changing it to 3:56 and selling the 67 rear.
Does it have a higher value than a small block one, and what would be approximate asking price?
Thanks,
Joe

If its original to the car...keep it....that way if you sell it you can tell them you have the original...

You can also remove the innards and just replace the ring and pinon gears..

I believe the OP said it was a 67 rear end in a 64.

IMHO definitely has a higher value than a small block differential. Rear end date codes and ratio stampings are not NCRS judged so many would not be all that concerned. However when restoring a midyear many also would like to have a correct rear end setup. A couple of years ago I wanted a correct BB diff for a '66 I had, after 4 months of looking finally found a case (case only, nothing else) that was an original 3.70 March 66 stamping, and that case was $500. To someone with a '67 who wants a correct diff, especially if they have a tank sticker showing 4.11 the price would be high !! Yours would need restoration but being all there with an original stamping, I would guess over 1K as is. Put it on eBay with a high starting price and see what happens. Or, if you really want to sell it, put it on eBay with a $500 starting price and high bid gets it. Good luck

Thanks for the opinions.
I will search for a replacement rear and then do the swap.
A good winter project.
