Wow. Thanks for posting that up. That letter became a lightening rod for the Chevy small block. Kudoos to Duntov! He was certainly thinking ahead and the style in his letter captured that "sell more cars" on Monday based on winning on Sunday in his successful attempt convincing Oiley to go down that performance road.
Again, I never knew how his initial involvement got it start. And yes, as a young kid I remember local older "kids" hot rodding and referring to the ARDUN head.

too true. Too bad most of his ideas were a corporate fight to get implemented. Of course I'm glad he fought the split window...that's what kept them rare.

it's too bad he couldn't get this car built (for production):
