Default Should I be impressed? Yes I am!

Just took the windshield out of my 79,000 mile 64 coupe and there is literally no rust, none, nada, just some surface stuff and the clips. When I bought the car unseen off the internet the guy described it as a 3 owner low mileage car but not until I got under it and saw how it had most likely never been driven in rain, snow or slush did I believe it. Now the final confirmation is getting a new windshield.

I have never owned a Vette before last year but you guys are seriously fanatical! I'm a 30 year Porsche guy and I just thought those guys were nuts but congrats to you guys for exceeding them

Thanks Leif, will let you know when I bring it to C&C. Getting some touch up here and there at Stuarts along with the windshield.

Were you more impressed, or relieved?

I can hardly bear to look when I take windshields out.

Actually impressed as I am beginning to believe the car is as good as the seller said it was. Not perfect but just not abused and always garaged.

You are very fortunate. My windshield frame had no rust while the clips were rusted away, go figure?
Thank you,
Al

Steve,

Yes, absolutely, let me know when you're going to be at our store for our first Saturday of every month Cars & Coffee. PM me if you get a chance. I usually have mine there.

Very nice to find no rust. Congratulations.
As far a Porsche, they are cool in their own right but nothing sounds better than a Chevy V8 at full tilt! Enjoy your new toy.
