Default st-12/ 61 pass manual

St-12 seems to cover all high perf models but sends you to the 61 pass manual for standard stuff. So my Q is, is there a difference between the original 61 manual and the new reprints, I found both on e-bay, reprint is cheaper, all I want is the info, don't care about original, or not. Chip

No difference other than condition. My '61 Passenger Car Shop Manual is worn, greasy, and the binding is falling apart but entirely usable. The ST-12 directs you to the Shop Manual for common maintenance items between Corvettes and passenger cars -- such as generator repairs, voltage regulator adjustments, etc..

Unlike what you show in your pictures - that Shop Manual is T-H-I-C-K. I don't know what kind of DIY spiral binding can be done on it but let me know. My manual is disintegrating and the current duct tape binding isn't holding up!!

If I were going to buy the 61 manual again I would go for a NEW reprint. My original old 61 manual is as Frank says. I have some clear shipping tape holding the binding together. Spiral binding is a good idea, I'll have to check that out. Pilot Dan

I ordered the 61 manual, when it came down to it I just had to have an original, go figure. If you get yours spiral bound you will LOVE they way it lays flat when open. Chip

It's no longer in print, I got mine from e-bay and paid a premium price, someone just sold one on this forum (parts for sale) for $ 20, it sold fast. It covers fiberglass repair, panel replacement, prep for paint, and care after paint, all good info. Primarily for c-2 and c-3, but, the process is the same for c-1. With that book and hang out on the paint and body forum here, you will get everything you need except practice. Chip

Hi, have the ST-12 for my '62, thinking about getting the passenger car manual. Will the '62 pass car supplement do the trick? I figured it would cover the 327 info....
Thanks
