Default Pulled the Tranny And Clutch out of the 61

Rear Seal on tranny was gone for sure sending out for complete rebuild.

On the clutch just in time prob 1000 miles from it ruining the Flywheel.

Check out the throw out bearing All the grease was gone and all over the inside of the bell housing plus a peice of metal was gone and bent.

Wow

Congrats!

You got your mileage out of that B&B clutch, and that throw out bearing is "ugly"....

Had my tranny done a few years ago by Dave Reed. He would be a easy ride for you down to Manchester Ct. Good work, good price and short turn around time..

Thanks for the news, I didn't know that. When Dave did my box he had a couple apprentices working with him so the business may still be active. He did advertise in Hemmings over the years. Bob

Larry will do a great job Im sure. We've done business with him for years. Its a shame Dave Reed passed away. He was a good friend and customer. In fact, we shared a booth with him at the Syracuse Nationals when his pop up awning blew away one day.
Yes, his apprentices are running his shop. Same number and location. Ask for Alex

Default clutch replacement

You may consider going to a "Centerforce" dual-friction diaphragm type clutch. I have one in my 327 w/T10 equipped '58, and it works w/less leg effort and grabs "like a bear".

I like your lift and would love to have one. What is the height of your garage ceiling and the name of the lift? Looks like it not even bolted to the floor??

Thanks
Don
