Just a quick post to let the C1-C2 faithful that Rich Lagasse had a health issue (stroke) and has been in ICU and Rehab for 2 weeks. I just got it from a good source (Barbara) that he will be discharged tomorrow. His surgery was successful but some complications had us all worried for a time. He will elaborate on the complications. He has been down for the 8 count but is back on his feet and getting "ready to rumble" and should be back to his normal "charming" self soon.

Rich was standing at the end of an isle next to "Split Personality", his incredible '63 RestoMod . . . a car that I still believe is the "Mona Lisa" of all C2's. We talked for about 10 minutes about his car, and then Rich politely asked about my car. I told him that I had owned it for more than 35 years, and had planned a 5 speed conversion, and I was in the process of assembling parts and completing the planning stages. He stated that he had a part that I may need and asked me to send him a PM when I got back from the show and include my address. I did so . . . but thought nothing of it until a small package showed up a few days later. In the envelope was a great note from Rich - and an "extra" 5 speed console plate that he had made for his "67 RestoMod a few years ago. What an outstanding gesture! My '66 now wears that shifter plate PROUDLY! What a guy! Thanks again Rich!

A couple that can bring together a car (and more) as incredible as that can get through anything - but know our hopes, prayers and strength ride along.
