I used white grease on mine. Not too smelly.

Never met Dave Zuberer at all, but I've met Rich's lovely wife and rather large son - pretty sure he is 'straight'...

Do I dare ask why you're not using your right???

As far as grease...I really like Green Grease...it's a waterproof, salt resistant, synthetic grease that I use in just about everything from my steering box to the bearings on my boat trailer. I was thinking of lightly coating the inside with it, but as I spoke to Rich about putting grease in an area that gets full of dust....grease is like a dust collector and just gums stuff up unless it's shielded.

Whatever works. I do not drive my car down a dusty road...

I was actually referring to the dust/debris from the carpet.

I managed to shoot enough PB-Blaster into my '61 tracks that everything loosened up nicely so I just primed/painted them and then lubed them with some Teflon bicycle chain spray...the good stuff that goes on dry and doesn't collect grit....worked great....still does..

Didn't take 'em completely apart inotherwords...

All done.

I thought I was clever to remove the rollers without having to bend the tab...the joke was on me. Although I may have been able to get them out, I couldn't get them back in. So I highly recommend that anyone doing this, follow Rich's procedure.

I powder coated these, except the inside track. I used a gun dry lubricant.
