'64 Trans bracket, rubber mount, fitment woes
Installing new exhaust, car had no front exhaust bracket, so ordered a new one & installed. Trans mounting bracket, rubber mount fit before I hung the frt exhaust bracket, now it does not. The trans bracket hits bottom of mount before it becomes flush for bottom bolts! Am thinking perhaps since tranny is not original to car (3846429 current trans #), this may be causing the issue. Screwdriver in pics shows amount of space I am "off" before the bracket would/should become flush. Or, forum ideas would help. Thanks.

Looking at the picture, you dont have the 2 nut/washer/bolt on the upper part of the bracket...if you put them in it should pull it up closer to the trans mount and take out your block of wood holding up the trans...

do you have the exhaust bracket facing the wrong direction?

If I understand things accurately try loosening all the bolts, work the rear bolts into place, then, in two stages tighten all the bolts equally. Dennis

I don't have a car in the garage to look at right now, but the rubber mount may be misoriented 180*.
BTW: the -429 tail housing with driver's side speedo cable connection is correct for your '64 I believe.
