Default 64 dash bulbs (how many)

getting ready to install the dash on my 64 with air, how many LED BA9s bulbs will it require? (including the radio and pull *****) Thanks !

There's a bulb type/count chart on page 47 of your owner's manual (that thing nobody reads).

Why do you need LED. If the cluster was properly restored OEM bulbs will work just fine

My guess would be that he might want to use LEDs because they last a lot longer than incandescent bulbs....and the dash light bulbs are a PITA to replace.

yes that is correct, i replaced all the bulbs in my boat last summer with LED's they do make a difference, and i only want to install bulbs once.

OEM bulbs are fine if you're looking for that factory stock "look" but at night time when you need to see your gauges they are barely readable. LED is the way I wish I had gone when I replaced my harness last spring. Much brighter and certainly would last longer.

Did my basic ones today- put 5 in the main cluster sections as I rushed through fixing my temp gauge (posted outside my thread so you see the result)

Not with my restored dash and OEM bulbs. My cluster is bright and very readable.
