Default 1965 Undercar exhaust system options

Wanting complete new exhaust pipes and mufflers for my 65 L79/4 speed. I usually go to my local exhaust guy for my other cars, but never had him do a complete exhaust on a Corvette.
My other option is buying a complete system from Corvette Central.

Opinions on these pre-fabbed systems? Is the fit up good? Any modifications to make it fit? Can I do it myself or will I need help from my exhaust guy anyway?

The pipes my dad bought from CC for his L36 car fit like a glove. It hardly took any find adjustments to make fit.

I just installed 2 CC systems with the one piece center pipe & muffler the fit was great even the tailpipes were strait. only thing not in the kit was a heat riser gasket.

I, too, agree with the above comments. I just installed a complete system (by myself) from Corvette Central and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went.

I went with Allens Stainless Exhaust for my 70, got the chambered system. It bolted up easily (I had a lift) and sounded great.

If you get the "muffler welded to pipe one piece section", you will have to take off your exhaust panel to get it on...

Allens can custom build a oversized system and bold it right on ....Other systems are only built to standard size exhaust pipes....If you want a 2 1/2 from the engine back to the bumper or any other reasonable size, check them out ....All they make is exhaust systems

For those of you who've done this before:

I'm installing my N11's from CC on Wednesday, on a lift. It's a "deluxe" system, not the welded system but the ones with the clamps. Do I need to remove my valence to do the job? If so, do I have to remove my bumpers first? Any tips appreciated!

Yes, the rear valance needs to come off, and NO, you don't have to touch the bumpers; once you have the tailpipe extensions off and the 8 screws that attach the valance, the panel will come off straight down.

I just installed a system on a 66 and did not remove the rear valence. I did not touch, bend or scratch anything while install the complete system.
