What's the reasoning behind that color on the motor? The early 265s were either a yellow or a darkish red. Don't recall seeing that green on any?

We dated the engine with the raised casting numbers of 11/53. We are having fun with the 265 "appearing" like an early development motor. That's why we have it dated early and stamped with the EX4611. Since the motors weren't available yet, we decided to paint it the same color as all 1953 motors, blue/green.
We just didn't want a 235 6 cyl with a 6 volt system.
Besides that, there was no way a yellow or red motor was going to be placed in that engine compartment. lol

It is changing day by day and new information and pic are sent to Black Magic each evening and he will be posting pic and information as I send it to him. This build is going to go like a blurrrrrrrrr now that we have the car painted and chrome done and interior is being done now but look in each evening to see what George has updated on the site. Look tonight to see what went on this morning and afternoon.
Lots of nights but not "EVERY" night
Nice try Mike

Today we sorted out all the parts and wanted to make sure we have everything. Just like some other builds I am sure I had doubles of some things and other things I did not have that I thought I had. So I called in about another big order to get the rest of the things we need to put the car together. We will be installing the transmission and the motor Friday along with other items. I will be sending in pic tomorrow after I get home for George to post.

Jay, being the original Motorama Car would have been built out of a 1953 Corvette in order to have it ready for the January showing at the Waldorf where all the car companies would show off there car and there ideas they would like to build in the in upcoming years we (Brett and I) thought it would have had a 265 V8 in it but the probably would have painted it Blue because that is what they were painting all the 6 cyl. Blue Flame 6 cylinders at that time. I think when we get the rest of the parts on the motor and the motor in the car the color will really pop. Then after we get car on the chassis with the interior and chrome on the body I think people will see what people got to see in January of 1954 in NY. at the Waldorf.
