Inside Chevy's 427 Mystery Engine

Thanks for the link---this find of yours is a neat web site.
As a side note, I've heard mixed opinion regarding whether or not AZD was for or against putting the new BB in the '65 model year Vette.
I've also heard, but have never seen any proof, that he once told a magazine editor that the reason they enlarged the 396 to the 427 was that it was to save weight (i.e. the loss of iron from the bores.)
Whatever the case, the Vette with the BB engine is one of the high water marks for GM. This combination was a roll up your selves, rude and crude all American icon for the times.
