Default Does your C2 Have its' Original, # Engine?

I didn't realize how lucky (or misled) I was in obtaining a 63 with it's original block.

My old 66's original block is a boat anchor in the river . You could probably find it with divers and metal detectors. Not much wrong with it really, needs a sleeve......

Yes, my l75 300 hp mill is original to the car, runs good, but is cosmetically challenged. I think a solid weekend of detailing could bring it up considerably.

My '67 300hp engine (and trans and diff) is the original - not many folks mess with base engines.

As a prosecutor, I know I can prove mine is # matching,"born with" from the factory beyond a reasonable doubt

How Funny! My 67's SB is a Boat Anchor out behind our house on Long Island Sound. Been there since 1985 when I yanked it to freshen up the gaskets and found the Webbing all Cracked. I put a correctly numbered SB back in and will tell the next owner the true story. Provenance seems to taken hold with our cars so I see it as no Hindrance to a sale. I'm second owner. Al W.

Batting 50%. Two of four are originals, both 300 hp versions. 100% coupes if that counts.
Looking to better the number with a C-1. It will have to have a hard top so I can call it a coupe.
