Geeked about corvettes @ carlisle
Hi Guys,
I just received a letter of invitation to be 1 of 20 '65 Corvettes in their tent display recognizing the 50th year of the '65s.
I'm not one to participate in shows. Much rather park my ride and enjoy looking at all the cars and visit with the people/owners. Needless to say I am geeked about this and consider this an honor. My '5 is no where near NCRS quality but it's a great driver and its patena reflects this.
All you guys who plan on attending this event, I'll be sure to be looking for you.
Call me geeked and don't think I can smile any broader

Can you translate "geeked" into something us old coots can understand? I gather you mean excited or happy?

OK Railroadman, let's see if I can give you some visuals
I like Boston, so how about this for putting you in a higher state happy:
VanHalen has some good tunes. This might capture how I feel too:
Think you get the idea of how I feel

I went to the forum National Events and clicked here:

Then I clicked on the Calling all 1965 Corvettes and followed their prompts here:

New trend, like the recent Pro Mod/Touring or my recent favorites- the Donked look or where I thought this thread was initially about- some unique Geeked build! And I had pictures ready to post of cars that I thought would fit my vision of geeked. But you are geeked, and not your great car and you aren't starting a new nationwide build style movement/trend.
Yes that would be an honor to get such a great invitation, and I would say that is cool! Congrats!
PS do we now satisfy my curiousity on geeked builds, someone quick-- start a thread!

Dennis, I'll be looking forward to meeting members here. Hope to rub shoulders with the folks over at the 63-67 Sting Ray Registry run by Dennis and Cindy.

(quivery, ancient voice) "OK, sonny, I think I understand what you're tryin' to say now!"
Congrats, that's quite an honor! I probably won't go, I can't afford it (not the admission, but what I might come home with! ) but if I do I'll look you up!

Ya' know, I'm sure there are other forum members here who have '65s and who also got this invite.
So, let's hear about these other 19 Vettes and their owners.
I also see that: "Should you be interested in parking near the display with your 1965, you can do so! When registering for the FunField, simply select your club as the 50th Anniversary Registry. This option is only available through pre-registration. It’s never too late to be a part of the fun!! - See more at: http://www.carlisleevents.com/carlisle-events/corvettes-at-carlisle/corvettes-at-carlisle-detail.aspx?detailid=303#sthash.fwpdJMNb .dpuf"
