Just guessing...
Does it Seem like the pins you have might be, 2 lefts or 2 rights..?

All 63-67 Soft top frames and guide pins, are basically the same. The only difference I know of is that on 63-65 top frames, the first bow (not the header) is round, while on later 65-67's, the bow is rectangular. The front header, that the pins attach to, is the same on all 63-67 tops.
Do you have the correct front guide pins? The 63-67 convertible pins have a square block on the underside, that fits in a notch in the header. Hardtop pins are flat on the bottom. I don't know that the hardtop pins will even attach to the soft top header, but it's something to look at.
69-75 hardtop and soft top guide pins, are completely different than 63-67's. They use two screws to secure them, not one like 63-67 pins. I think 68 guide pins may attach with only one screw, but I don't know how much different the 68 pins are, from 63-67's.
Original pins had a part number cast into the base, do your pins have a part number, and if so, how does it compare to the part number(s) in your AIM?

Your guides are reversed from what I have on my 67. The holes for the pins are inboard. Attached are pics of the guides and the pins on the front softtop header.
