OT: 62 Chevy Rear

I have a friend that has a 62 Impala with a posi 4.11 rear. He wants to go to a 3.55 or 3.73. Will he need a new carrier for the different ratio gears?

If I remember right, three hundreds will work in a four hundreds carrier, but not the other way around, maby DZAUTO will chime in he knows for sure. Chip

I believe the carrier will be fine. What he will need is a 3 series posi unit. Check with Tom Parsons to be sure. Rich
