Default spare tub and bolts 65 ???

i am getting ready to mount my spare tire tub, and lid bolts.. and i remember when i took the car apart someone had cut the front bolts down to about 2in and they were just dangling in the frame loosely. you could see were someone had been trying to work them out, and egg shaped the holes a little. i ended up torching them off the rest of the way.
my Q is, should there be a welded nut in the frame for the front bolts to go into tightly? or is it a loose nut i just have to reach in there and place it? can someone send me a good close up pic of these bolts in there proper spot? thank you all!!! TROY

Default Welded nut

There is a welded nut inside on each side that the long bolts screw into.

I can take a picture tomorrow.

I can't get you a picture...

BUT...if the threads on the welded nut are all gone/wallered out...you can put a jam nut on first then run the bolt up and through and nut/lock washer on the top side...that will hold it in place...

Default I hope these help

I just took these when I got home from work. I put the rear bolts into the threaded holes in the frame.
