Default Instrument cluster is in- now the turn signal switch ?

There are 7 wires coming off of the turn signal switch (counting the horn wire) I am having a problen feeding these wires through the steering column and out under the instrument cluster. Everything is stock (repro) on my 59. Is there a trick to feeding these wires along the inside of the steering shaft? Thanks for the forum for helping me with this car. 59 navy

Not really a trick - I've replaced a few turn signal switches and it just takes some patience to fish the wires down the column. Maybe a rubber band around the bundle or some such to keep things together while doing the deed...

I really don't remember it being a huge deal...

Tape them all together to a long wire and push the single wire down the column and then pull the rest through.
