Has anyone heard of or use Grundy Insurance? I currently have American Classic and am looking to change.

Give Adam Boca of National Corvette Insurance Agency a call, he is a supporting member to the Forum. Great guy, along with Bobbi Joe (spelling?), with great rates.

Grundy has been around since 1947 and insures plenty of classic cars. Hagerty is another fine company for insuring classics. Just be sure to insure your classic for a "guaranteed" value.

Is "agreed value " the same thing as "guaranteed value"

No! Agreed value is very different. Agreed value means you and the ins co "agree" the car has a certain value at policy issuance. That value is used to determine the cost of the coverage and the vehicles maximum value in the event of a claim. At claim time, the ins co will do a market value analysis and if the market value is less than the agreed value, you get market value. If it's more, you get the agreed value, no more.

Guaranteed value is you and the ins co agree on a value, and that's what you get less any deductible in the event of a total loss.

Guaranteed value coverage is superior in most cases. Values need to be updated periodically to remain accurate amidst changing market conditions.

I have used Grundy for the last 4 years, very satisfied so far, although I have not needed to make any claims yet.

Reasonable rates on my agreed upon value policy, they cover towing and glass replacement too. I may be mistaken, but I understand some company's don't cover the glass with basic policy's.

Let them give you a quote......nothing to lose.....good luck

never heard of guaranteed value, agreed value is what is most common and market value just regular insurance.

Thanks for all the great plugs! We are humbled to have earned your respect!

Agreed Value and Guaranteed Value are one in the same. The term guaranteed value was started by another company to separate them for the other collector car insurers, but its the same.

You want to stay away from Stated Value.

Give us a call at 877.678.7626 or check us out at www.ncminsurance.com. Bobbie Jo or I would love to quote you all!

Remember, we are owned/operated by the National Corvette Museum. We are not compensation based agents, so 100% of the compensation goes to directly support the mission of the Museum. We want you all to be customers for a LONG time!

Thanks!
