Not the best picture but look back at the main cross member which is at the end of the main side rails. You will see two silver loops on either side of the driveshaft, that bolt to the seat belt anchors on the body and a cable that hooks to the frame clip. On the left side you can also see the outer one where the silver metal clip bolts to the underside of the frame just inside of the exhaust pipe chrome turn out.

Got my seats out and while I was at it I took the front carpet out because it was just a mess. My seat belt cables are going to be fun.

I got my seat belt cables disconnected but there is something wrong. I tried to give it a test lift but the body didn't seem like it was going to come off yet.

Ok I am lost. That other list says that there are 8 body mounts? I thought there was 6? I removed 6, but now I can't even find the diagram that showed me where the 6 were so I can double check.

I am lost. Help!

Ok I just checked my parts tray, there is 6 Body Mount bolts in my tray. I'm sorry but I just am not remembering where 2 came from. I see the two in front and two in the rear wheelwell. 2 more? Is there only 6? Because this body did not budge so I let it down before anything got damaged.

With a coupe you would not have the #2 body mount location so a total of six would be correct. In addition there are the two bolts at the core support location on the frame horns.

Do you have an AIM?

Ok Snake, I do not know what an AIM is but I got the 6 body bolts. I removed the seat belt cables, removed the 2 lower core support bolts, the E-brake cables, front and rear bumpers, antenna ground strap, body ground strap, speedo cable, seats and carpet, steering column and clutch rod.

Did I miss something or am I being paranoid? Does anybody that lives near Simi Valley have any experience doing this that can come watch?
Make sure I'm not causing damage?

The body started creeking and grumbling so I put it back down.

You removed the nuts and then pulls the cable off the studs, right?

On the outboard cables, did you disconnect from the frame or from the seat belt bolts in the interior? They need to disconnect from the frame or they will hang up when you lift the body.

Are you going through the list line by line?

OUTBOARD CABLES? OH NO !!!

I did just the 2 inboard cables and yes I removed the nutz, pulled the cables off and replaced the nutz. But I don't recall anybody mentioning the outboard cables.

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? HINT: it involves a floorjack and 4 jackstands, again.

Before you go any further buy a AIM now. Get it and study it. It will help you tremendous Right now your going in blind with a little help from here. With a AIM you will see how and where things go.

I guess you have disconnected the brake line to the master cylinder? You may have discussed it earlier in the thread. Some creaking and groaning is to be expected in separating joined together for 50 years.

Well I found my outer seat belt cables. Yep, that will stop your parade.
But again these bolts just jumped right out at me. I mean I had to duck out of the way they came out so easily.

I thought you guys said that this would be hard?
