Default 65 Corvette CC Special Hi Perf. Exhaust

I installed a set of CC Special Hi Perf. Exhaust pipes/integral mufflers on my 65 327/365 and noticed that the mufflers were just rolled but not welded at each end seam. I had an issue with my distributor clamp loosening that caused a timing issue and a backfire which blew the front panel of one of the the mufflers off. The CC muffler system seems to be somewhat flimsy compared to the Magnaflow muffler shown that appears to have seam welded ends.

No more CC exhaust for me.

I've got a Gardner set coming for my 66 425hp. Keeping my fingers crossed the extra money is worth it. Will document and post a vid best I can. No iPhone crap. I'll beak out some good equipment to record the sound.
