But my real problem was that the tray was installed in the wrong direction. The stud in the picture below was nearest the exhaust manifold. I flipped it around and now it puts the battery in a perfect spot.



I glass beaded it and painted it. Now it's perfect. But still why is the '66 different than the rest?
