Default Wheel tub issues 65

HI THERE EVERYONE! i just mounted my wheel tub, and i bought the 10 1/4 long bolts for the rear [gold and red line tire] and the matching locking bolt set. my problem is with the lock bolt all the up and tight the lower lid still hangs down 2in from the pan it does not look right at all.. where did i screw up? i have a original gold lines mounted i am going to trial fit it..let me know

Your issue is all about the spare tire in the spare tire tub. Many of us do not put a conventional spare wheel/tire in the tub for various reasons, one of which is what you may be experiencing, but basically, you have the wrong bolts for a '65. You need 9 1/4. Look at the Paragon web site for validation. Dennis

BLUE, i was going by paragon and CC... i bought what they recomended for the style wheel/tire combo i was going to use.. but i dont think i like the look of it..your right im going to order the short ones!!!

Repro bias tires are wider so therefore don't fit quite right.

hey there nowhere man, no i have a original set of gold lines on a set of original torque thrust wheels!!! very cool, but they are getting a bit cracked.

OH YAAA!!!! just for looks!!! i wanted the rims, and there just so happened to tires on them. pretty cool though knowing your looking at a 50 yr old tire still holding air.. i would hate to think of even putting them on the car, the weight would prob be to much for them!! LOL
