Yeah, I remember the 'ole TV days when the dim screens required a serviceman to come out and juice up your picture tube and that would brighten it up for a short time.
And of course they'd have to come out and do convergence on the color guns with the old tech. Nice easy service calls to fatten the old wallet.
I drove down to Sarasota two hours each way yesterday to examine a split window coupe and a '66 Mustang convertible.
There must have been 10-12 modern cars broken down along the way. A record for some odd reason. Prob 5 of them had flat tires...the rest had their hoods up.
I told the wife what a joke it was to even bother raising the hood. Unless its a radiator or hose spewing fluids or some electrical connector has come off you're pretty much screwed as far as roadside fixes anymore.
