Default Engine ID

I have a CE block that I would like ID. The casting number on the back of the block on the drivers side is 3959512. Any help would be appreciated.

3959512 was a VERY common "CE" block, covering most of the 4"-bore applications (it had no production application). What's the block casting date (pass. side, back ledge of block) and what's stamped on the front pad?

The front pad is CE 9B30175

It wouldn't be U, more likely a "D", which would be April 2, 1969.

CE9B30175 means it was assembled at Flint V-8 in 1969, and its 30175 number is the second time around the assigned block of numbers for Flint V-8. There's no way to determine what the innards are without tearing it down.
