Not sure which view I like better.........
Front view....
Rear view... no throttle....
Back view with full throttle
And yes... For those with a keen eye.. I have the huge PITA job this week of regluing my headliner...after a winter of storage.
For those of you that have done the headliners on a 63.......you know the special hell the trim pieces are....

I've never been in a SWC, but now I know why they dumped that window. It's a lot bigger trying to see around it than it looks from the outside. I hope you have mirrors on both sides.

I only have driver side rear view and honestly it isn't that tough to see out of... Takes 20 minutes to get used to it.
I also have a 2015 z06 coupe which is FAR harder to see out of!!!!!!
Here you go. This first one is proper height of camera to get driver's view. Second photo has standard ride height Ford F-150 for scale. And third view is from behind car about same height as driver's head.
It really isn't that bad...

Getting that interior trim to clip on the edges of the body and still fit the other trim without scratching the fresh trim paint is a great joy...and hoping none of the freshly epoxied and re-drilled screw holes don't strip..
Hoping to do this one last time.. I will look into al knock.. Thx for heads up ....! (See what I did there?)

Is it the same one corvette America sells? Or something al knock produces in house?

AK's version is close (but admittedly not perfect) to the '63s texture; the color is spot on and it fits and stays up there where it should
Now, if you are referring to re-gluing or replacing the vinyl pieces at the very interior rear of the split that never want to stayed glued up good luck. I've finally got mine sorta gobbed up there but unless you remove EVERYthing and take all the old glue off with mild adhesive remove you are gluing over previous glue jobs and its just a lumpy, nasty situation. GM SUPER Trim Adhesive (not the GENERAL Trim Adhesive) will sometimes fix you up - that's what's holding my vinyl to the body.
I've bought the pieces to redo it but I've got to get the time. That interior metal trim around the rear windows isn't too bad to put on and off...the pieces sort of lay atop each other; nothing like the headliner horizontal pieces at the top of the door inside around the headliner. THOSE babies will hurt your feelings as they snap over each other in odd ways. You have to keep ALL of the pieces loose and lightly joined then, when satisfied, snug everything down alternatively adjusting and tightening the various pieces.

Cool thread! Love the Black/Red combination too.
When my '62 Vette was purchased in '70, really wanted the 63 Coupe but could not pony up the extra $500 it would take to buy one. The current girlfriend didn't like the '62 and said the front looked like it had frog eyes. An easy fix here, simply dumped her. Next girlfriend liked the car and so did her Dad. Together now for the better part of 43 years.
Back to subject. First sat in the SWC 13 years ago this coming June. Will always remember that day at Bloomington when the car was purchased. Thought the view was fantastic and could not understand all the BS about not being able to see out of the car.
Interior rear view mirror is always aimed towards the right rear quarter and left side view mirror is set as one would normally. My focus is most always on the car that likes to enjoy the view of the '63 from it's right rear quarter.... Listen to exhaust, watch the wheels spin and enjoy the lines of the car. Let this go on for a few moments then more speed or slow down and the other car usually goes back to a more normal spacing.
Find these facts to be true with all the collector cars we have.
Will tell you that the Ford is virtually impossible to back up while using the mirrors and always use a spotter. On the road, the mirrors are OK and the partial view of the supercharger is intoxicating as well as the sound from the DOHC engine. However, in terms of iconic beauty in the rear view mirror, give me the split window any day.
DJ.

NO! I made a lengthy post on the CA headliner I bought for the '63; wrong look; wrong materials, didn't fit and the fabric unstuck and fell down on my head on the first outing in the Florida heat.
