Sorry Guys... we had a delay waiting for the Infinity Box electronics to arrive - they had a huge order to fill and production ran way behind normal delivery times for them. We needed the electronics to control the hood to see how it was going to seat before doing final body blocking.

We have been progressing I will add some more pictures.

Here is the hood:

We cut the side rails and added hinge supports about half the length of the hood. You will notice the hood is different than stock. We copied the hood from the car that won GoodGuys this year. It was created by Mike Goldman Customs.

Here is a video of the hood while testing the operation using the InMotion controller from InfinityBox.

Amplifiers and Dynamat

Installing the amplifiers in the rear. The left is for the bass speakers, the right is for the woofers, mid-range and tweeters. Dynamat for sound deadening and heat resistance. TacMat in the corners where the bass speakers go. Not quite visible are the block off panels in front of the bass speakers. They require an enclosed area with a specific cavity size.

Dynamat in the front

Also notice the InfinityBox Master Cell mounted on the transmission tunnel. Two PowerCells are mounted in the rear along with the InMotion Unit.

Motors for the power vent windows

Can't have a crank on the door... The InfinityBox has the capability to control everything via a touch screen. The touch screen is mounted in the center of the dash waterfall, but no pictures yet as it is not quite finished.

Radiator from Wizard Cooling

This was an awesome unit custom build by Wizard Cooling in Buffalo. They were at Carlisle. The workmanship and polish work is excellent.

We also have a new set of C7 seats but I don't have pictures loaded yet. I have all of the motion controls operational and have managed to get the seat heater and ventilation units to function through switches and direct wiring, however my next major activity to attempt to send the CAN-BUS signals to the seats to control the temperature heating and cooling settings on the seat control modules. I am considering using the control buttons from a C class Mercedes which are individual switch units that interface with a CAN-BUS. I started with tearing down a dash module from a new C7, however the electronics on the board were interlaced with so many other functions, that it was not worth the time and effort to sufficiently isolate the circuitry on the board for reuse. To use the Mercedes switches I expect that I may need to utilize an arduino controller and write some CAN-BUS code to use as an intermediary interface. But first I am going to see if I get lucky and just wire the switch to the seat control units to determine if Mercedes switches can talk directly to chevy controllers...

I for one am extremely glad to see the work is continuing. I have thoroughly enjoyed living through your photos and comments. I hope one day to have the ability to complete such a project. Keep the pics coming.
