Nice Find Today!
Check this out!
Block ID #3904351
Date code and suffix T0113JE '67 427 435 HP Motor. Build date of January 13, 1967! 4sp. car.
Heads #3873858
Obviously not the correct intake and carbs, as well as valve covers and other items, but none the less I think this was an incredible find!

If the pad checks out OK, and the car represented by the VIN on the front pad still exists, that motor would be worth a considerable amount of money to the owner of the car.
So much so, if fact, that you could probably get enough to build a complete motor of your dreams, and still have money left over.
Just a thought.

Now, conversely I would like to find an early big block car that has lost it's motor!
Kind of like finding a needle in a haystack! But then again, that's how I felt about finding this motor that has sat in the previous owner's shop for the last 20 years.

Great find!
Seeing the water outlet, it looks like it came out of a boat - split lines going to wet exhaust headers.
It would be nice if you could get it back into a '67 midyear.

Yea...the thing is that the only numbers on the VIN part that are legible are 71.

I gotta agree with Ed. That motor is worth a LOT of money to the guy who owns the car it belongs in (if it is still alive). You could sell that motor and buy a 572 crate motor and have enough left over money to buy your whole block beers, and then some. I would bet 1K that with some time you could discern what the VIN is off the pad. In fact, if you can shoot me some close up, hi res pics I would be happy to volunteer to help you. Lighting is critical with the pics. I would actually really enjoy trying to figure out this mystery with you if you would want the help. Re-uniting original motors with their cars is just cool....Let me know. ARA
funny thing I picked up my car up in northern ca. a month ago. could it be... 4-14-7 L71 roadster
