First, THANKS MUCH in advance for anyone who responds in advance, for some reason I am unable to properly reply. The forum members have been great whenever I ask about something. My question: Does anyone have a template as to EXACTLY where the switches should be located on the door panels or a good set of pictures. The original door panels did not come with the car and I would prefer not to guess given the price of door panels. Again, THANKS MUCH in advance. Pete Z.

Isn't there a depression in each door to allow room for the switch to extend from the door panel? That's the key to proper location.

There is usually a punch-out area on the back of the door panel board. That would be the location of the PW switch.

There is some fudge in the location of the hole but not much; there is NO fudge in the size of the hole made. It has to hold the bracket that the switch mounts inside. Too large and you're screwed... The bracket's "fingers" won't have anything to grip.
