Wiring harness & NOM
I have a '58 with a NOM '68 Camaro 302 small block (casting 3914678 date G108), a later tach drive distributor (Sorensen DR118), Camaro coil (Delco Remy #293 B-R), regulator (can't see any numbers) and generator (Lester? 12V 9005). Please see photos below.
I want to take the advice elsewhere on this forum to renew the wiring by purchasing a harness set for the entire car, but am concerned that I might be wasting my money on the engine harness if it won't fit the non-original setup I have got.
Does anyone have a view as to whether a '58 engine wiring harness would suit my vehicle?

Lectric Limited and M&H are the top two harness vendors - those are the people you should call to find out. They are the ones who will have to stand behind the product.

We'll stand by. The tach drive dizzy should be OK and if your NOM setup uses points, ballast resistor and typical GM starter setup you should be OK. An alternator might require some finagling though.
You prob won't have a fusible link (started in '67) setup in that harness though; just in case somebody carried that over on your '68 motor - that too can be added.

Both suppliers have come back promptly that my setup should not be a major problem, as I do have reasonably standard points, ballast resistor, generator, starter motor, ignition switch, etc. There may be a small issue with the length of the wire to the temp sending unit. I've gone ahead and placed an order for a complete kit.
