Default C3 fiberglass spring work on a 67?

I found one that is supposedly in new, perfect condition. It just says it is for a C3. Would it work on my 67 coupe or would I need to know if it is for '77 or earlier? Also, since it seems that they went to composite on 80 or 81 and up, does that matter? Basically, 63-82 use the same ones other than spring rate? Thanks for any insights.

Check the manufacturer's web site and see if the C2 and C3 models have the same part number.

Check the WIDTH of the spring where it bolts up to the rear cover - I think you'll find that the midyears are 2-1/4", and the later C3's (including the ones with the composite spring) are 2-1/2" wide, and require a unique rear cover and spring retainer plate with a different spring bolt pattern (and smaller-diameter bolts).
