Default 1967 speedo hookup

Which side of trans does the speedo go on a 1967 corvette Muncie with a BIG BLOCK. I know it is the passenger side on a small block, just wondering if all the c-2 are on the same side?

Small-block or big-block makes no difference - they all used the same transmission with the 584 tailhousing, which had the speedo drive on the passenger side from '65-up.

Not sure what the question is... Are you talking about where the speedo cable goes in to the transmission? If so, mine is on the drivers side....

If that's the case, you have a pre-1965 transmission.

JohnZ - really happy to find that my memory was MIA. Speedo cable does indeed connect on the passenger side. Since this is a numbers matching '66, the wrong transmission would have brought up all sorts of intrigue.

Thanks, A friend of mine just bought a Muncie that was marked 67 corvette. and suposed to be rebuilt, when I seen it I told him it wasen"t a 67 corvette because I have one in my shop that is out of a numbers matching car. When he called the guy and asked him he got##3$ . So needles to say I also told him we will have to pull the cover off to see what is inside before I put it in his car. Just wanted to check to see if BIG BLOOK was different.
