Well after 60 years my 55 hood hardware needs attention ,you older members can the female hood latch's L/R be sharpened at the hole edge area so it grab the male pin better. I hate to buy new (repro) ones, my is original and having the logo. Also anyone reproing the hood cable assy or know of a NOS for sale. Thanks

couple things you can do - buy the repro ones - take the pin out and install in your original - I do this - the main reason is the repro springs are way too stiff and makes opening the hood difficult and hard to "pop"
