I just took the gauges out "10:30 tonight" because the tach cable is not in correctly. soo I will fix that and replace the light switch dimmer with 67 Camaro rs ss one I have. they are identical. everything else seems to be working in good shape I might as well clean it up real nice.. also I think my coil is failing, and my sending unit needs replacing. all pretty easy stuff.

Safety Car
But this 67 Corvette ''hot rod'' is all AMERICAN. What better way to celebrate 4th of July. Fire up that bad boy and go break some windows and set off the alarms.

Great find Ed. The ''ORDER'' number will be on the NCRS SHIPPING invoice. $40 will get you info when the car was built and what dealer sold it new. I am a NCRS member and can order it for you if you have not yet joined. SEE www.ncrs.org. I suggest you do join as finding parts and service is a lot easier with the DRIVELINE magazine that has over 150 pages. Printed 6 times a year. My guess your car is around vin #16100.
And you probably have a 454 short block from Chevy parts with the L-71 camshaft. It sounds like it. And thank you for not ''reving it up......and breaking all the parts. I can tell you have been around machinary for many years.
Chevy made this engine in 1970-73 era to help car owners like this replace broken original 427 engines. The rockers and pushrods were a weak link in the 435 engines, as well as the main bearings on the 2 bolt crank. So many original 435's were destroyed. Today they say of the 3743 cars made only 9000 are left. You are lucky that this car has the tank sticker and parts to confirm its history.
Enjoy this Holiday

Thank you Jim, I will be ordering these docs through ncrs in the near future.
I plan on taking it slow with the mechanicals. I already replaced a broken fuel gauge lens and a new speedo cable and repaired the tach rpm cable. everything seems to work ok. It looks like someone had installed the N14 side pipes and maybe replaced the N11 rear valance because it has no holes for pipes out rear. hhhmmm?? everyone likes the side pipes.
And where could I locate the builder info on the car. there is writing in looks like chalk near the battery under the casting number it looks like a 349 or 319. thanks, Ed

Happy 4th of July
I love this Corvette, and yes people are curious about a $2m Ferrari. Appears the owner is telling two guys the story about it. They are rare, especially that one.
But this 67 Corvette ''hot rod'' is all AMERICAN. What better way to celebrate 4th of July. Fire up that bad boy and go break some windows and set off the alarms.

That's cool Jim, Thanks for the Idea I say about 11:59 at night?? Ha Ha

FWIW, I left specific instructions in my will that my cars are to be sold by the executor within one year, so they don't sit around and deteriorate in a garage for a decade or two.
